I have developed several individualized editorial style guides for employers and clients, and provide editing and proofreading in accordance with any of a wide range of styles, including, but not limited to, Canadian Style, Canadian Press Style, MLS, and Canadian Oxford.

Rates

I have a sliding scale of hourly rates (all rates in Canadian dollars):

• Corporate clients ($60/hour)
• Academic, small business or not-for-profit clients ($40/hour)
• Literary clients and individuals ($20/hour)

I am a writer, editor and poet based in Ottawa, Canada. I have more than 20 years of experience in communications, including as a writer, editor and project manager. I have provided impeccable writing; proofreading; and substantive, stylistic and copy editing services to a wide variety of clients, including government departments and agencies, fiction and non-fiction authors, not-for-profit organizations, journals and magazines, small businesses and individuals.

I believe a good editor provides clean, understandable copy, but a great editor also ensures their client's voice and intended meanings are always clearly conveyed, and engage the audience.
